When Ozzy Wrong moved to Narrabeen, he didn't realise he was going to get a new shaper as well as a new house. Directly accross the road however, lived Mark Gnech, who was shaping boards out of his garage. It didn't take long until Mark, the experimental shaper began making some boards for Ozzy to try. Ozzie was instantly a fan and they started Vampirate Surfboards. Ozzie had been riding for Santa Cruz and was keen to get some of the Vampirate boards into the range, with PowerLyte Technology, so here's one of the first Vampirate models in PowerLyte Technolgy.

The Werewolf: "This board is like some kind of mad hotrod. It has the big wide flat front three quarters of board to get you flying across any kind of wave and then you got these chunky flyers that allow for the narrow tail, so you can just jam hard and change directions. It was developed out of the need to spin airs a lot, as the really wide tail boards can be really hard to do air 360's. I just wanted all that speed, but I wanted to be able to spin in the air too. Great for full rotations." Ozzie Wright
